It has its origins in the "soleras" of brandy de Jerez at the old wineries of Bodegas Marqués del Mérito, founded in 1915. Its production begins with the wine destilation, transforming it in spirits (eau de vie or "aguardiente") of the best quality, that are aging during more than three years in American oak casks, that previously has previously contained Oloroso Sherry.
